Wessex Water interim profit before tax slips £34.m

Wessex Water reported a £3.4m downtick in profit before tax at the half year stage to £38.8m on revenue for the period up £5.6m.


Operating profit was down £4.7m for the six months to 30 September 2021 to £79.6m as operating cost increase £10.3m. Financial expenses were down £1.4m to £40.9m.

Metered household turnover was up £9.4m to £139.9m while unmeasured household revenue was down £2.7m at £74.4m. Business revenue was largely flat with measured sales at £34.1m and unmeasured at £1.7m.
