Water features in best places to work for women

Northumbrian Water and Pennon were the only water companies among 114 organisations recognised as the UK’s Best Workplaces for women for 2021.

In the fourth annual awards run by employer accreditation firm, Great place to work, Northumbrian took 11th place and Pennon,16th in the super large category – firms with more than 1,000 employees. Customer relations management firm Salesforce – a design sprint lead at Northumbrian Water’s Innovation Festival – topped the category. And plumbing repair firm and former South Staffordshire Group joint venture partner HomeServe came in at 10th.

Other awarded organisations in the water sphere included consultancies FTI and Accenture and financial services firm S&P Group also in the super large category and Baringa Partners at runner up in the 251-1000 employee (large) group.
