Trisha McAuley OBE will take up post today as chair of the new Strategic Panel overseeing the business retail market.
McAuley, (pictured) currently chair of the Market Arrangement Code Panel, was appointed after the first meeting of the Panel Nominations Committee (PNC) last week. The changes follow the implementation of code change CPM039/CPW124 which agreed to split the existing Panel into two: a Strategic Panel and a Code Change Committee, as part of a governance overhaul.
The PNC, comprising representatives of Ofwat, Defra and MOSL, also agreed its terms of reference at last week’s meeting and will now commence recruitment for other Strategic Panel members, with a view to appointing all positions by November 2021.
