Thames Water appoints Barhale to upgrade North London mains

Thames Water has awarded infrastructure specialist, Barhale a £16.8m contract to upgrade a water trunk main running through the north London Boroughs of Barnet and Enfield.

The work to replace some 2.3km of pipe is part of Thames Water’s AMP7 Conditional Allowance Trunk Main Schemes.

Sections of the route will be tunnelled beneath the North Circular Road, the East Coast Main Line and Pymmes Brook, “eliminating disruption at these critical infrastructure crossings” said Barhale. The works are expected to be completed by December 2024.
