Thames appoints new retail director

Thames Water has appointed Warren Buckley as its new Retail Director.

Buckley (pictured) joins Thames Water from bank, HSBC, where he was managing director with global responsibility for onshore and offshore contact centres in its retail and wealth business. His experience prior to joining HSBC, included managing director of customer service and operations at BT Retail.

Buckley is currently chair of Citizens Advice, a position he took up in 2018 having served as a trustee since 2012.

Thames Water chief, Sarah Bentley, said Buckley’s “considerable expertise is exactly what we need to transform the service our customers receive.”

Buckley will join the executive team and start on March 1.
