Supply point data in the Central Market Operating System has now been grouped into three categories according to the likelihood of its eligibility to be in the market. Trading parties can view their data and are required to review Level 1 supply points – those that are highly likely to be ineligible for the market – within 12 months.
This is the first phase of the data cleanse programme MOSL is running with Sagacity Solutions, which was launched last week. Trading parties need to review and assure or deregister their supply points that are considered likely to be ineligible.
MOSL has published a technical specification to help trading parties through the process. It will shortly publish a best practice guide and highlight relevant areas of the Wholesale Retail Code and existing codes of practice relating to areas such as deregistration, settlement and retail billing.
MOSL plans to display trading parties' progress in reviewing the data at a market level via a dashboard on its website from the beginning of 2024.
