RSK stablemates join up to bag framework deal with Southern Water

by Trevor Loveday

A joint venture between stablemates at RSK group, Binnies UK and WGM Engineering have won a non-infrastructure framework contract with Southern Water for 2023-2027.

Southern Water expects to invest some £250m in the framework and estimated the initial four-year period to be worth about £50m for the Binnies-WGM joint venture. It will have the option to extend the framework by a further 4.75 years.

BWGM were successful in all three lots of the framework. Work will cover water- and wastewater-related activities including:

  • planned asset maintenance on water production and recycling plants;

  • support and delivery of emerging needs for above ground assets, like new build installations;

  • environmental improvement programmes;

  • new build and planned asset improvements to pumping stations;

  • complex mechanical, electrical and control works; and

  • water, recycled water and sludge process improvement works.

Southern Water said: “Among the many strong submissions in our rigorous tender process, BWGM presented multiple innovative benefits that will support our customers with the best value for money.
