Retailer and wholesaler members appointed to business market’s new Strategic Panel

Four trading party members have been appointed to the new Strategic Panel that will oversee the business retail market:

• Retailer members – Lucy Darch, Wave chief executive, and James Cleave, Everflow chief financial officer.

• Wholesaler members – Cathryn Ross, Thames Water’s strategy and regulatory affairs director, and Andrew Beaver, Northumbrian Water’s director of regulation and assurance.

This followed a competitive process. The four trading party members will be joined by a customer representative and three independent representatives, who are expected to be announced on 18 November.

There are also non-voting members: Sarah McMath, MOSL chief executive and representatives from Ofwat and Defra. These will all operate under the chair, Trisha McAuley OBE, and with support from the Panel secretary, MOSL’s Adam Richardson.

The new Strategic Panel will become the most senior industry group and will provide strategic direction and oversee programmes of work to improve non-household customer outcomes.
