Panel quorum tweaked for its final two months

Ofwat has approved changes to quorum rules at the non-household market Codes Panel for the remaining two months of its existence, in view of recent and existing departures of pane members. The new Strategic Panel and Code Change Committee formally takes over on 1 March.

Two panel members stood down at the end of 2021, one wholesaler and one associated retailer representative. This came on top of a long-standing wholesaler member vacancy. Rather than seek new appointments for two months, quorum rules were altered under CPM047 to “avoid undue delay to the progress of other change proposals which are due to be considered at the January and February 2022 Panel meetings”.
