Ofwat proposes new plan for interim supply following a retailer’s exit

Ofwat is consulting on a raft of changes to improve arrangements when retailers exit the business market.

The proposals deal among other things with how retailers opt in and out of offering interim supplies; the allocation of affected customer supply points; and customer transfer and communications following an event. Any resulting changes will need to be made to the Interim Supply Code, the Wholesale Retail Code and the Market Arrangements Code, with MOSL working with Ofwat on the amendments.

The consultation closes on 6 August.
