Northumbrian offers placements to help jobless youngsters avoid long-term unemployment
Northumbrian Water is offering 37 placements to young people at risk of long-term unemployment through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.
The programme helps participants to get into the job market, by gaining six months of work experience and a qualification.
Northumbrian Water is offering positions in administration and information services, as well as operational posts. Participants will leave with a Level 1 qualification in Occupational Studies and a Level 2 certificate in Customer Service at the end of the placement. They will receive support from existing Northumbrian employees through a buddying scheme during their time with the company.
Placements are being offered through Jobcentre Plus.
