Nearly two-thirds of companies clock up 2021-22 performance penalties

Six companies secured performance rewards of £92.8m for 2021-22, with the lion’s share for Severn Trent (£62.9m) and United Utilities (£24.1m).


The remaining 11 companies were issued penalties totalling £149.3m, with the largest to Thames Water (£51m).

The table summarises Ofwat’s total draft determination adjustments for year, covering the net impact of total Outcome Delivery Incentive payments (including C-MeX and D-MeX). These determinations are open for consultation until 21 October.
