MOSL appoints new chairs for board and codes panel
Having split the roles of the chair of its board and the chair of the codes Panel, MOSL has made two new appointments, effective from 1 September.
Anne Heal, an independent director on the board since January, will take up the position of chair. Consumer expert Trisha McAuley OBE will become chair of the Panel. Current chair of both Jim Keohane will step down at the end of his tenure at the end of August.
Heal’s current roles include a board member of the Office of Rail and Road; a lay member of the General Dental Council; an independent member of the Bank of England Enforcement Decision Making Committee and a panel member for the FCA’s Regulatory Decision Making Committee. She is also a member of the board at Elexon and chair of Volunteering Matters, and the National Council for Voluntary Organisations. She was previously chair of the Thames Water Customer Challenge Group.
McAuley’s current roles include: independent chair of the Connections and Use of Systems Panel and Grid Code Review Panel, both of which are electricity network market governance codes; independent chair of the RIIO2 User Groups for National Grid Electricity Transmission and National Gas Transmission; member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland Discipline Board; Member of Ofgem’s Gas Network Innovation Competition Expert Panel; member of the Office of the Rail and Road Regulator Consumer Expert Panel; and Member of the Civil Aviation Authority Consumer Panel.
She is also a board director of Energy Action Scotland and a member of the Scottish Government’s Energy Networks Strategic Leadership Group. McAuley’s past board roles include Northern Ireland Water and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency.
