Portsmouth Water has picked up an award for best practice in stakeholder engagement during its Havant Thicket Reservoir project.
Portsmouth and its partners in the Havant project: Atkins, Create 51 and Agilia, won the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIWEM) award for its adaptation to maintain its consultations with stakeholders after the pandemic restrictions ruled out face-to-face meetings.
Following feedback on a series of webinars involving more than 1,000 local people the project team responded in a “you said, we’re doing” report, which, “explaining how the project design was altered and improved in response to the concerns and suggestions raised.”
