Future Water launches award for water sector's “unsung heroes”

Future Water has launched an award to recognise “a company or individual that has contributed something special or unusual in the fight against the Covid pandemic.”

Future Water chief executive, Paul Horton (pictured), said there were many “unsung heroes” in the water industry who have done outstanding things to help others during the pandemic. “With this in mind, we have introduced the Future Water Covid-19: Above & Beyond award,” he said.

The winner of the award will be announced at a Future Water virtual awards ceremony on 3 December 2020.

• Future Water will run an online version of its annual Water Dragons event where companies can pitch innovations to a panel of senior water company executives and industry specialists on 18 – 20 November 2020. The theme will be Smart networks in an uncertain world.
