Fitness firm seeks self-supply licence
by Trevor Loveday
Sport and leisure group, David Lloyd Leisure, has applied for a self-supply water supply licence and a sewerage licence.
The firm said water manager, Waterscan, will take on the role and responsibilities for the retail functions including meter reading, CMOS transactions, wholesaler management and finding further water efficiency savings and act as the managing agent for David Lloyd and provide technical support and services.
The group has 100 clubs in the UK and a further 23 across the Republic of Ireland and mainland Europe.
In its application for the licence the group said self-supply will “provide a platform to be more vocal within the market.”
