by Karma Loveday
Severn Trent chalked up the largest in-period rewards in the industry for its 2020-21 performance, in draft determinations just published by Ofwat.
Severn’s £25m reward was closely followed by United Utilities’ £20m and then Anglian’s £12m. At the other end of the spectrum, Thames was prescribed a £53m performance penalty and Southern £46m.
As Table 1 shows, collectively the industry was penalised to the tune of £67m. The incentives included C-MeX and D-MeX payments, as well as other in-period Outcome Delivery Incentives.
Ofwat said representations could be made until 21 October.
