Companies to include social media contacts in drinking water quality reporting
From 1 January 2023, water companies will need to include customer contacts made through social media in their reporting of contacts related to drinking water quality events.
This requirement was set out in a letter from the Drinking Water Inspectorate, updating its requirements relating to the annual provision of information on consumer contacts.
The DWI also said that from 1 January 2024, new requirements regarding the recording of multiple water quality issues per contact will become active.
