Anglian announces £135m boost to customer support package

Anglian Water has announced it will dedicate £135m to customer support throughout 2023 for those struggling with the cost of living. This is the company’s largest ever support package and builds on a £65m package announced for 2022. It will help an estimated 330,000 customers over the next year.

The package includes discounted tariffs on water bills of up to 50% for eligible customers, temporary payment plans, forgiveness schemes, payment breaks and direct support through the Anglian Water Assistance Fund to help cover the cost of bills when people are going through the most challenging times.

Anglian Water’s director of customer and wholesale services, Pete Holland, said: “Given the incredibly challenging reality for so many, we wanted to go even further to help our customers. That’s why, just four months after we announced support for this year, we are launching our largest ever package for those struggling with the cost of living.The scope of this support means we can help even more people in a way that’s tailored to their individual circumstances.”
