Affinity launches public consultation on its £2.55bn 2025-30 plan
Ahead of its Your Water, Your Say session in June and the formal publication of its draft PR24 business plan later this year, Affinity Water has launched a public consultation on its summary proposals for 2025-30.
The plan suggests £2.55bn overall investment, prompting a £60 average bill increase (including inflation) by 2030, up from £204 to £264. Among other things, this would fund by 2030:
• investment to reduce abstraction from chalk aquifers by 35Ml a day.
• net zero operational carbon;
• a 30% leakage reduction, on the path to 50% by 2050;
• a 4.5% reduction in total demand;
• 400,000 smart meters;
• £83m of water quality treatment upgrades; and
• a range of affordability support schemes and community activities.
The consultation runs for six weeks until 4 June.
