Government releases terms of reference for second part of reservoir review

The government has published the terms of reference for part B of its independent review of reservoir safety guidance and legislation.

The review, led by Professor David Balmforth, is considering how current legislation for reservoir safety is working and will report on whether the regulation of reservoirs remains effective and robust in securing the ongoing safety of this critical infrastructure.

The work follows on from the Toddbrook reservoir incident review carried out in 2019. Part A has already reported.
