Ofwat extends suspension of retail market performance charges to the end of July

Ofwat has extended the suspension of Market Performance Standard (MPS) and Operating Performance Standard (OPS) charges for trading parties in the business market until the end of July.

Last week, it approved Wholesale Retail Code and Market Arrangements Code Change Proposals CPW098 and CPM027, which extended the existing suspension of MPS and OPS charges from the existing cut off date of 31 May, given Covid disruption is ongoing. The change also provided for Ofwat to amend the period of suspension in future by notifying MOSL rather than through further code changes.

Charges were suspended in March under amendments CPM023/CPW090.
