MOSL proposes wholesalers be able to add meter reads in CMOS

MOSL is consulting on two code changes aimed at reducing the number of long unread meters in the market.

• CPW087 suggests allowing wholesalers to add meter reads. At present, should a wholesaler obtain a read in the course of its work, it has to inform the retailer of this and wait for them to update the system.

• CPW088 seeks to allow wholesalers to amend meter location data and retailers to add GIS X & Y coordinates. Currently each has to rely on the other to perform these tasks, increasing risk and delay.

The consultation is open until 14 May.
