Business Stream bags brace of deals worth £2m

Business Stream has won two water and wastewater contracts with a combined value of £2m.

The Scotland-based water retailer has picked up a £800m deal with international real estate advisor, Savills, and a £1.2m deal with funeral services company Dignity.

Business Stream will provide water and wastewater services to over 200 of the sites that Savills manages, across Scotland and England. Under the Dignity contract, Business Stream will serve all of its 850 funeral locations and 46 crematoriums in the UK.

Business Stream said the Dignity deal was a “significant win-back” as it had previously worked with Dignity in Scotland but lost the contract when the English retail water market opened in April 2017 .

Service contracts manager at Dignity, Raja Khan, said: “We need a water partner that can deliver accurate billing, suggest operational efficiencies and support us to achieve our sustainability goals, so that we can focus on our core business of client services and care for the bereaved.”
