Commission names 2050 halve leakage target as "key success" for government

The National Infrastructure Commission has, in its annual monitoring report, numbered the setting of an objective for the water industry to halve leakage by 2050 among the “key successes of the government’s progress in 2019.

But the report describes as “decidedly mixed” the government’s progress in six aspects of infrastructure since study in each were published before the NIC’s 2018 National Infrastructure Assessment. The report looks at: high speed north rail, smart power networks, communications, east-west rail and housebuilding and data.
