Ferrar wins top honour from WaterAid for fundraising work

WaterAid has awarded SES Water's recently retired managing director, Anthony Ferrar, its highest honour, the President′s Award for his fundraising efforts and support of WaterAid to bring clean water, sanitation and good hygiene to people around the world.

Ferrar (pictured) has played a key role in revitalising and developing the partnership between WaterAid and SES Water since joining the organisation in 2008. Water Aid said Ferrar’s “dedication and encouragement has seen the SES Water WaterAid Committee bringing in vital and life-changing funding

Ferrari, who handed over the SES Water reins to Ian Cain earlier this month said:“ I know the company will continue to organise, raise money and awareness for WaterAid and do what they can to help bring clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene to people living in remote communities across the globe.”

SES Water staff and customers have supported WaterAid since 1981 to help bring clean water and decent toilets to some of the world’s poorest communities.

Chief Executive at WaterAid, Tim Wainwright, said: “The President’s Award is our way of recognising the impact Anthony and the SES Water team have had on our work and thanking Anthony personally for all he has done to champion WaterAid.”
