South West Water pulls plug on defaulting retailer Tor Water

February 8, 2020

Business customers served by south west specialist retailer Tor Water will be moved to a new retailer under the terms of the Interim Supply Code after wholesaler South West Water terminated Tor’s contract following a long series of outstanding undisputed payments.

Ofwat said it is working with MOSL to source a new retailer as soon as possible.

The move comes after a long series of regulatory interventions, including demands to Tor to comply with its statutory and licence obligations or face revocation of its right to supply. The defaults to South West Water date back to October 2018.

Only Tor Water’s customers with premises in South West Water’s region will be transferred.
