Suez reshapes in new bid to get "closer to customers"
Water and waste giant Suez has restructured under a plan to make it “Agile, decentralised and closer to customers.” The plan’s objective is to “improve savings in operating profitability and increase funding for investments in innovation and digitalisation.”
The reorganisation comes into play on 1 January 2020 and is part of a strategic plan Shaping Suez 2030. The new organisation comprises six regions:
France
North America,
APAC (Asia, Australia and India),
AMECA (Africa, Middle East, Central Asia and East),
Northern Europe, and Latin America Region; and
Southern Europe.
It includes also three global business units:
Water Technologies & Solutions,
Smart & Environmental Solutions and
Smart & Environmental Solutions – a new unit that takes in new activities including management of air quality and the smart agriculture.
