Severn Trent appoints new chair

Parent of Severn Trent Water, Severn Trent, has appointed Christine Hodgson as chair of the company.

Hodgson (pictured) will succeed the current chair, Andrew Duff, in April 2020 after joining the board as an independent, non-executive director on 1 January 2020.

She has also been appointed to the board of Severn Trent Water and will become its chair in April 2020 following Duff's retirement from the boards of Severn Trent and Severn Trent Water.

Hodgson is currently the executive chair of Capgemini UK but will relinquish the post on her assumption of the Severn Trent chair. She is also the senior independent director of Standard Chartered.
