Irish Water awards framework deals to Veolia under €5.5bn investment plan

Irish Water has awarded two four-year framework agreements to Veolia,  as part of a €5.5bn investment plan to improve water and wastewater infrastructure. 


The investment programme aims to address increased demand from population growth, mitigate flood risk and maintain legislative compliance.


The works cover the design, project management and interim operation of a range of wastewater treatment measures including upgraded water and wastewater treatment plants, control, sludge beds, sewers, pump upgrades, aeration and clarifiers, sludge thickening, odour control, chemical analysis facilities and other ancillary plant.
