Portsmouth signs up to industry pledge to improve diversity
Portsmouth Water has signed up to the inclusion commitment launched by Energy & Utility Skills to address imbalances in the numbers of women, non-white ethnic groups, disabled people and under 24s employed in the sector.
Portsmouth Water chief, Bob Taylor, said, “It is important that as we drive towards a stronger social purpose within our sector so we have a diverse and talented workforce that truly represents the communities we serve.”
On launching the commitment Energy & Utilities Skills said and it and the sector chiefs “will build on the work already being done by the sector as well as continuing to drive change through its ongoing commitment to inclusive attraction, recruitment, and development of its workforce.”
