Suez appoints Chaussade as new director general

Suez has appointed Jean-Louis Chaussade as president of the group.

He will succeed Gérard Mestrallet, whose position as chairman comes to a statuary close in May.

Chaussade (pictured) has been with the group since 1978. More recently in 2008 after the merger of Suez and Gaz de France, he was appointed director general of Suez environement (which became Suez in 2015).
