Clancy Group unveils senior appointments

Clancy Group has appointed Jim Davey as operations director for its utilities and infrastructure specialist, Clancy Docwra. Davey previously headed up the firm’s Anglian Water alliance frameworks and will remain responsible for the Clancy’s alliance frameworks. He will work alongside the current operations director, Matt Bailey, in managing performance in the firm’s major utility frameworks.

Clancy familyBusiness Stream has secured a new, three-year water supply contract with Lloyds Banking Group which extends beyond the existing arrangement in Scotland to include Lloyds’ English branches. The water retailer has supplied the banking group's premises north of the Border since the opening the Scottish market in 2008. Under the new agreement Business Stream will provide a single, consolidated bill covering Lloyds’ sites and dedicated account management which includes day-to-day support and 24/7 emergence assistance, if required. Chief executive at Business Stream, Jo Dow, said: “We are committed to promoting water efficiency and delivering innovative and effective solutions to help our customers use less water.”member, Ronan Clancy, has been appointed associate director for Anglian Water, working together with Jim Davey. He was formerly associate director for Clancy’s Future Business division.

Among other moves the group has also appointed Roger Culley as associate director overseeing Clancy Docwra’s multi-utility division. And Stephanie Downs has joined the group as head of performance management from her previous post as head of supply chain for Thames Water’s Infrastructure Alliance.

The new appointments are, Clancy said, part of a wider management restructure to support the new role of group chief executive officer, announced at the end of 2018 and held by Clancy family member, Matt Cannon (pictured).

He is to move from his current post as chief operating officer to head up Clancy Docwra, Clancy Developments and Clancy Plant from 1 February 2019, when Jim Davey and Ronan Clancy assume their new responsibilities.

Cannon said: “These appointments form part of our broader strategy to restructure and consolidate our leadership team across our business, ensuring we are well-positioned for future growth.”
