Severn Trent appoints head of new capital design team as recruitment drive starts

Severn Trent Water has appointed Ian Kirkaldy as head of capital design.

Delivery and project management expert, Kirkaldy, joins Severn Trent from Southern Water with some 40-years experience in water and utility-related engineering schemes.

His appointment is one of the first in a in a recruitment drive by the Midlands-based water company to build a team of engineering and design specialists by early next year said Severn Trent. The new team will form part of Severn Trent's recently formed Capital Design department which was created to design and support the delivery of the company's essential upgrade projects.

"By creating an in-house capital design function we can provide more innovative, faster and cost-effective solutions for our customers,” said Kirkaldy.
