Bristol appoints former Ofwat director, McGuffog, as strategy and planning lead
Bristol Water has appointed Iain McGuffog as director of strategy and regulation.
McGuffog joins Bristol from Ofwat where he had been director of strategy and planing for close to two years. Prior to his time at the regulator McGuffog was at SouthWest Water for more than 13 years with the final 18 months as chief economist
“He brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in economic regulation, economic analysis, business planning and market strategy. Iain has an extensive track record of focusing on long term outcomes, including through three water price reviews, that balanced customer, investor and stakeholder needs,” said Bristol.
He succeeds Keith Hutton who has set up as an independent consultant.
