Market Operator Services has appointed Jim Keohane as chairman following a competitive recruitment process. He will take up his role from 1 September 2017.
Keohane (pictured) has over 30 years’ experience in the energy, utilities and aviation sectors and is currently senior independent director at the Low Carbon Contracts Company and chair of the Harwich Haven Authority.
Previous post include deputy chairman the Civil Aviation Authority and he has been a non-executive member of the Gas and Electricity Market Authority (GEMA) since 2009. Jim has proven experience of working in privatised industries, along with a strong understanding of codes and settlement systems.
MOSL’s acting chair, Margaret Beels, will continue as an independent non-executive director on the MOSL board. And she will continue to chair the Market Arrangements Code Panel until the end of 2017, when Keohane is due to stand down from the board of GEMA
