Yorkshire Water confirms plan to sell off business retail operation

Yorkshire Water’s parent Kelda Group has confirmed that it plans to quit the business water retail market and is looking to sell its retail operations. A buyer is yet to be found; “We are just making a statement of intention,” a spokesman said.

In a statement Kelda said: “Yorkshire Water Business Services and Three Sixty can confirm they have notified staff of the Kelda Group’s intention to exit the non-household retail market and sell its non-household retail businesses. These are early days but we felt it was right to keep our colleagues informed throughout.

In the meantime, it is very much business as usual for our colleagues and non-household retail customers and we will continue to provide them with the very best service.”

Yorkshire announced in February this year that it had abandoned plans to transfer its non-household customers to its business retail arm Three Sixty which was launched only a few months prior to the announcement.
