Castle Water rolls out multi utility offering with Scottish Power
Castle Water has begun to roll out a national multi utility offering provided through a tie up with Scottish Power. The venture will provide power and gas under the energy form’s branding along with water from Castle.
The Castle/ Scottish Power arrangement is the latest in a string of multi utility partnerships spawned by the opening of the business water retail market in April.
In May this year infrastructure investment manager, Ancala Partners formed a joint venture with infrastructure firm, Peel Group branded Leep Utilities to provide gas, electricity, district heating and water to new residential and commercial developers.
Ancala has a 50% stake in part of Peel’s existing multi utility business, which owns and operates a private and regulated electricity, water and district heating assets distribution.
Leep will build on Peel’s current multi-utility platform which is licensed to own and operate electricity and water networks.
Other earlier deals include:
Anglian Water Business’s partnership with Corona Energy offering water gas and power;
Business Stream’s alliance with utility wise and Veolia supplying water energy and waste management; and
NWG Business’s solo multi utility proposition.
