New group to put water efficiency on board and customer agendas

June 4, 2017

This Friday (9 June), a new group seeking to put water efficiency on board agendas across the industry – and to further the ambition to encourage customers to become active participants in the delivery of water services – will meet for the first time.

The new industry-wide Water Efficiency and Customer Participation Leadership Group is being led by Waterwise and chaired by Anglian Water’s director of strategic growth and resilience Jean Spencer, who is passionate about the subject and has been at the forefront of industry initiatives on water efficiency repeatedly in the past. The vision is multi-layered but features: engaging customers to adopt efficient behaviours at scale to achieve real change; making water efficiency a strategic issue for water company leaders; and putting customers front and centre of demand side work.

Waterwise is due to publish its UK Water Efficiency Strategy later this month.

For further details on the new Water Efficiency and Customer Participation Leadership Group, see the forthcoming June edition of The Water Report.
