Anglian Water Business unveils multi utility plan for business retail

Anglian Water Business (AWB) has launched a multi utility offering of water, gas and electricity to business customers after striking a partnership with energy supplier, Corona Energy.

AWB, which recently announced a planned merger with Northumbrian Water Business, will offer gas and electricity alongside water supply and wastewater services.

AWB said the move will build on its existing offerings of energy efficiency audits, energy and water saving technologies, investment-free installation and shared payback schemes. Managing director of AWB, Bob Wilson (pictured right alongside Corona managing director, Matt Gray), pledged: “Customers will benefit from simpler billing and effortless management of all their utility requirements from a single, trusted and service-driven organisation.”

Under the AWB/Corona proposition, “customers will be able to fix their gas and electricity prices for up to five years, which will allow them to forecast costs accurately and budget more effectively. It will also remove the worrying impact of price volatility in the market. Customers will also be able to renew at any time within their contract life to take advantage of any price reductions that may occur,” Wilson said.

Wilson said the partnership bring AWB together in “a partnership with a business that sets the same high standards of service and operational excellence our customers receive from us. The result will be a fully joined up and accountable supply and service offering across water, gas and electricity with a single point of contact, one telephone number and 24/7 access to online account management.”
