Many suppliers make it on to Crown Commercial Service framework

March 19, 2017

Eight suppliers are understood to have made it on to Lot 1 and nine onto Lot 3 of the framework agreement being managed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) to smooth the path for public sector customers in England to choose their water supplier. Lot 2 is understood to have been slightly delayed but a public announcement on all three is expected shortly.

The framework will be live and available for the opening of the market on 1 April, and will run for three years with the option to extend by a further 12 months. The lots cover:

Lot 1 – supply of water and sewerage services.

Lot 2 – supply of ancillary services (such as new connections and site-works; metering; demand side management and water conservation measures; Automatic Meter Reading; and water reduction/management advice and guidance).

Lot 3 – one stop shop (supply of services listed under lot 1 and lot 2).
