Full house expected in shadow market on Monday's opening

The shadow market looks set to hit its target opening date on Monday with a full house of water companies on board.

MOSL confirmed that as of yesterday, all but four firms had successfully completed their final data uploads into the Central Market Operating System. The remaining data is due to be loaded today and over the weekend, meaning MOSL and the industry are on track for the official opening deadline of 3 October.

Both MOSL chief executive, Ben Jeffs, and Ofwat’s director of market opening, Adam Cooper, praised the “heroic” efforts of all involved. MOSL announced on 13 September the shadow market had opened early after two companies successfully completed their uploads.
