Waterscan moves on business retail

Water management company Waterscan has applied to Ofwat for a water supply and sewerage licence (WSSL) for a retail operation that will serve "multi-site clients in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors".

The retail operation will be a separate business unit deploying Waterscan’s water management systems and expertise.

In its business plan synopsis Waterscan said its aim was "to position itself as the innovative and independent partner for strategic water management services to the commercial market.”

Affinity Water says it intends to remain in the business retail market but has yet to apply for a WSSL. It has indicated its intension to unveil its plan later this month.
