Northumbrian promotes Northeast hub for female engineers and scientists

Northumbrian Water is promoting The Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) campaign's forthcoming launch of a new hub to address gender imbalance in the North East.

North East Hub will have its first meeting at Northumbrian Water’s Pity Me, offices on 29 September where the water firm's chief, Heidi Mottram, will speak..

WISE is encouraging women from across the North East’s science and engineering sector, to attend.

Mottram said: “There are some great organisations across the region who are really embracing diversity and we want to bring them together with others so that their ideas and activities can be shared, hopefully inspiring more people to develop their own policies and practices in this important area.”

People wishing to attend the free event should register their interest by e-mailing Nicola Horler at Nicola.horler@nwl.co.uk
