A light touch and the fun of the fair
Some commercial manoeuvres ahead of non-domestic competition in England were on show this week on both sides of the Border with Anglian Water Business and Business Stream both reporting deals with high-profile customers.
Business Stream unveiled a two-year renewal of its contract to supply Landmark theme park outside Inverness. The park has 17 attractions on it 16 hectare site where it claims to serve 140,000 visitors a year.
And Anglian Water Business reported how it had l helped an existing client – world-renowned Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge – to reduce its carbon emissions through a lighting upgrade to light-emitting diode (LED) panels and tubes. The upgrade was part of a collaborative programme with the hospital and SaveMoneyCutCarbon. AWB provides the hospital's wastewater treatment.
Account manager at the business water supplier, Paul Vincent, said: "We are committed to working collaboratively with our customers to ensure they lower costs and consumption, whether it’s water or energy."
He said the project received interest-free funding from Salix Finance which was provided under an arrangement between Salix and the hospital.
