Consumer engagement in regulated industries – a UKRN guide
The UK Regulators’ Network (UKRN) has published a guide to consumer engagement in regulated industries.
The guide explains the need for ongoing consumer engagement by regulators in both competitive and monopoly industries including water, energy, financial services, transport, communications and legal services. It sets out the common challenges regulators face in this quest, and compares and contrasts approaches at both a sector and an individual regulator level.
UKRN said it intends the publication to become a reference tool for regulators, consumer groups, governments and companies.
